New Adopted Puppy and Shasta's Akuu both knew that their teamwork would fail, so Harcos paired them together. It started with snarling and growling but Harcos's gaze expressed more than any scolding would do.
And when Tarhu awoke he heard another name...It whispered in his ears until he'd all but forgotten what they'd once called him.
