Biography
Lore base by ஓ๑♡Asahi♡๑ஓ #151057, edited by me.
Dawn watched as the fire grew bigger and bigger. Her eyes gleamed with curiosity as she witnessed it slowly consume the trees, even a few of her pack mates. The sound of howling and yelping filled her ears, but for some reason she didn't mind, she just sat and watched. She wanted to admire the beautiful reds and oranges. It entranced her, the crackling a tempting whisper in her head. The smoke didn't bother Dawn since she was long out of its range. But she could still smell it, dark and beautiful. She sat for hours, simply watching the ash and smoulders. All Dawn's packmates had fled or succumbed to the flames.
She left once the fire died down, wandering through the rest of the forest. It was intriguing to watch all the animals who mourned their losses. She kept walking until the moon rose high. Her nose twitched at the welcome smell of smoke. She followed the scent, eventually coming across some odd humans. She sat down to observe them, just as she'd done with the forest fire. Curiosity nipped at her as they used some kind of tool to make a fire. Her heart beat wildly at the sight, eager for the strange tool.
Dawn stayed hidden in the bushes, stalking them. She let time pass until they fell asleep, and when they did, she made her move. The humans were unaware of her presence on the ground, in these.. weird pelts... But she didn't mind, it just made it all the more easier to steal their fire. She sniffed around, nudging her muzzle into their pockets, though making sure she didn't wake them. Her face lit up as she finally found their fire. She let out a small grunt, pulling it out. Dawn dropped it like it was burning, desperate to look at it, wondering how it worked.
She nibbled at the tool until suddenly it flicked open, making her flinch. What was it? She tilted her head before grabbing it in her mouth and biting down hard, which managed to light it. It startled her, the appearance of something so stunning. She dropped the lit lighter to the floor, her mouth agape. It landed right on a bunch of dry leaves and twigs. Dawn watched as the pile went up in flames, her eyes gleaming once more. She could even feel her tail starting to wag. Letting the fire spread, she trotted back over to the bushes. The pathetic humans woke, and she watched their panic ignite like the flames she so admired.
She would no longer be known as Dawn. From now on, she was Flaming Dawn.

Flaming Dawn snickered as she watched a tree go up in flames, carefully grabbing her precious lighter before trotting off with a pep in her step. She couldn't help the smirk that broke over her muzzle as she heard the screams. All she had to do now was walk off into the forest to watch. As she watched, a dog appeared. It was desperately running away, its rump on fire. The mutt fell down next to, rolling around on the grass, extinguishing itself.
"Wh-why do you do this!?" The dog whimpered, noting the lighter clear in her mouth. "Just 'cause it's fun!" She replied as if it was obvious before trotting off, leaving the dog alone with tears in its eyes.
Flaming Dawn hummed as she walked through the trees, bobbing her head from side to side. Her ears perked up when the sounds of wolves overtook the sense. She hummed, narrowing her eyes as she went to inspect the noises, peeking through a large fern. She saw moms playing with their puppies, friends rolling around on lush grass, young couples complimenting each other. For some reason, it made her feel... Sad. Flaming Dawn watched, feeling her ears flatten slightly, her lighter a heavy weight in her mouth.
She moved to back away, deciding to spare the pack. The snap of a twig had her wanting to take it back. The group of wolves had heard.. She watched as one of the wolves locked eye contact with her. He slowly stepped over, giving her time to run. But his eyes held her in place until he was standing right in front of her. The larger wolf looked her over, noticing the lighter as many had before. Flaming Dawn swallowed, lowering her head in reluctant submission. He curled his lip in a snarl, and she could only guess that he was the alpha.
Flaming Dawn let out a whimper as he suddenly knocked the lighter out of her mouth, hitting it a few feet away. "Why?" He asked, what should have been a simple question. Instead it was the most important one. She hesitated, not knowing what to say. So he continued. "Why destroy this happiness?"
Finally, this wolf broke through the smoke in her head. For years her sense had been clouded. Maybe just once, she could protect happiness. Flaming Dawn tucked her tail between her legs, looking up at the alpha, a few tears in her eyes. Why? Why was she crying? Why had she done this?
The other wolf wagged his tail gently, fanning away the smoke of her sins. She could still smell the destruction, heavy in her nostrils. But the alpha rested his head on her neck. He could tell that she just needed help, compassion, maybe happiness. He guided her over to the rest of the pack, the lighter long forgotten in the dirt. She stared at all the wolves and they stared right back. This would be her new family. The source of her happiness. She was no longer going to destroy. Instead, she was going to protect.
