Jaado (जादू)

You hear the low rumbling of distant thunder. You gaze upwards and begin counting.
"One… two… three". A purple flash illuminates the night sky.
Krak-boom!
You flinch at the sudden, sharp sound. You know that the sound is harmless, but that doesn't seem to convince the more primal aspects of your brain that it's safe.
Exploring during a thunderstorm? Yes, yes it was a foolish thing to do. But you had hoped to catch and kill something instead of returning home empty-pawed. You would make sure of it.
A cool, strong wind violently whipped through the forest. It ruffled your coat. Raindrops began softly drizzling on your back and head. You could smell the petrichor— the scent oozing from the ground and twirling through the air, mixing with a mysterious smell.
Wait, what?
You swing your head around, your eyes wild and wary. Frantically scanning through the dark thicket. Intruders?
Your pulse began to reverberate throughout your body. Your hackles were raised. Your teeth bared in keen anticipation. How dare an intruder invade your territory?!
Suddenly…
You saw the barely discernible silhouette of a small, thin figure, huddled in a bush.

Jaado (जादू) simply nods silently when you approach them. Your presence isn't unwanted, but you don't really feel any connection.

When you talk to Jaado (जादू) you always feel as if they are focused on something else. You're caught off guard when they offer you a gift, mentioning that they prefer giving gifts over useless chit-chat.
