"SnowFall" Alpha Luna walked up to her as she was sitting with the other apprentices finishing there fresh kill for the evening. "Yes" she sat up and puffed out her chest, "what is it Alpha Luna?" She asked. "Walk with me please" the Alpha didn't give her a chance to answer, she just stared walking to the camp entrance. As SnowFall ran to catch up she realized the Alpha was sitting by a low hanging tree in the shade. "Sit" the Alpha asked Calmly, SnowFall was a little nervous but she didn't want to show it. "I need to tell you something important, so listen till I'm done" she gave SnowFall an amused look. "As you Know I'm old and I need to start looking for a replacement" the Alpha turned her blue eyes on her and said "I've chosen you as my replacement"- SnowFall jumped up in surprise and excitement. "You want me to lead the pack after you!" She was almost about to howl her joy till she remembered to breathe and not act like a pup. "I'm sorry, I just never expected or thought that I'd ever go that far in the pack ranks, I'm honored that you trust me to protect and defend this pack after your gone" she looked at the Alpha and shrunk in her pelt a little out of embarrassment. "I chose you because you are the only one who wouldn't expect to be give the responsibility and weight of the rank, I new you could handle it since you come from a strong and capable line" promise me you'll do whatever you can to protect and defend this pack" the Alpha looked at her intensely. "O of course! I'll protect this pack even at the cost of my life!" She wanted to make sure the Alpha new she had chosen the right wolf. "I'll make you proud of me, I promise"
"I know you will." The Alpha got up and moved closer and looked her in the eye again. "Don't feel like you have to continue the same way I do things around here, make this pack the pack you want to lead, don't try to be like me be your own wolf." With that the Alpha got up and walked into the forest leaving SnowFall to think about what the Alpha said.
