Biography
Crypt awoke, but not in the world he had known.
The last thing he remembered was the crackling of the storm, the scent of burning flesh, and the weightlessness of his own death. He opened his eyes to an unfamiliar place—a barren, limbo-like land, filled with decaying trees, twisted and gnarled, where time seemed to have no meaning. He was in purgatory.
Here, he wandered for what felt like eternity, neither alive nor dead. His mind, clouded by his memories of betrayal and loss, drove him to the edge of madness. He tried to remember how he had gotten here, but his thoughts were like smoke, slipping through his fingers. There was nothing but the emptiness, the endless forest, and the sense that he was being watched.
But Crypt was not one to accept his fate without a fight. Even in this purgatorial realm, where nothing thrived and everything rotted, Crypt refused to wither away. He used the skills he had honed in life—his cunning, his ability to manipulate, and his understanding of power—to survive. Over time, he learned the ways of purgatory, how to survive among the restless souls and the shadowy creatures that roamed its depths.
Soon, Crypt began to attract followers—those lost souls who had arrived in purgatory, broken and shattered, without purpose. He offered them a chance to reclaim some sense of power, some form of purpose, in exchange for their loyalty. Crypt's followers grew, and he began to rise through the ranks, challenging the lower-tier souls for dominance. His intelligence, paired with his merciless drive, allowed him to manipulate those around him, using their desires and weaknesses to control them.
Eventually, his reputation reached the ears of the pack that ruled purgatory—Purge, the lead wolf, a massive and ancient beast who ruled the land with an iron paw. The pack was the only true authority in this place, and they were curious about Crypt's rise. Intrigued by his cunning and strength, Purge summoned Crypt to prove his worth. Crypt, ever the tactician, played the game well, challenging and defeating the lesser wolves, displaying his dominance and his sharp mind.
Purge, seeing potential in Crypt, made him his second in command. Crypt's rise was rapid, his understanding of power and manipulation cementing his place at the top. He became the lead wolf's right paw, feared and respected by all in purgatory. His silver chains, remnants of his life, were now a symbol of his position—a reminder of the life he once had and the price he paid to become something greater.
