Lore added: SpoilerLate one summer evening, Leafpelt was wandering through a forest, looking for a place to spend the night. She had tried many places, such as a large hollowed out log, but there was an opossum in there. She tried a small cave she found, but it reeked of death, so she thought better than to go in there. Now, she was approaching a large den dug into the side of a dirt mound. The den looked abandoned, so she thought it was safe to investigate. She was mistaken. As soon as Leafpelt stuck her face into the den, she was met with a face full of bobcat claws. She yelped, then ran off with a new scar stretching from her ear to her muzzle.

She sat by a tree as she watched the sun set. Just as she was wondering if she would be able to find a place to stay tonight at all, she heard a struggle happening in some bushes in the distance, followed by someone yelling, "I've got it!" She cautiously approached the commotion to see a group of two wolves. A black wolf was coming out of the bush holding a rabbit carcass. "Good job Pitch, it kept getting away from me." said the other wolf, who was brown with purple markings.

As Leafpelt watched them, she moved slowly through the bushes, but not slowly enough, because she disturbed some leaves, drawing the two hunters' attention to her. She froze as she heard them call out to her. "Who's there? Show yourself!" The young black wolf yelled, dropping the rabbit and stepping forward. The older brown wolf stood up straight, looking around as she stood on guard. Reluctantly, Leafpelt stepped out of the bushes. "I mean no harm; I'm just a traveler passing through." Both of the other wolves inspected her, looking at each other to decide if she was lying or not. The black wolf finally sighed, looking to the brown wolf. "What should we do?" she asked, and the brown wolf turned away after picking up the rabbit. "Were supposed to bring in any trespassers, so that's what well do." The black wolf gestured for Leafpelt to follow the brown wolf, ushering her along.

After walking for some time, the three made it back to a pack camp. Leafpelt was taken to a den at the edge of the camp. The den was protected by a large sandy yellow wolf who eyed them suspiciously as they passed. "Don't worry Dune, she's not a threat." the black wolf said, then Dune huffed. "For now." he said, standing up as they entered the den. Inside the den there were three wolves: two elderly wolves, one orange and one gray, and a young white wolf.

One of the elderly wolves sat up from his laying position, giving the brown and purple wolf a questioning look. "This is a young wolf we found in the territory on a hunting mission. She said she's a traveler." The old wolf huffed, looking over at his mate for further instruction. She sighed, standing up. "Thank you, Parthenia." The brown and purple wolf nodded when her name was said, then the black wolf stepped forward. "What should we do with her?" the elderly female paused, thinking for a moment. "Well Pitch, we are friendly to travelers, so I don't see why this one can't stay if she so decides." Leafpelt looked a bit confused but eventually decided to stay for a bit.

"Excellent. Were glad to have you." Said the elderly female, laying back down. "My name is Azuli, and this is Cypress." she said as she gestured to the orange male wolf that laid beside her. "We are the leaders of Oak Ridge Pack, and we welcome you." Leafpelt nodded, smiling. "Well, I'm Leafpelt, and I appreciate your hospitality." As the young traveler was unsure of what to do next, the white wolf spoke up. "You're injured." she pointed out, referencing the wounds on Leafpelts face. "Let me take you to the herbalist." The white wolf offered, and Leafpelt wasn't about to refuse that.

After that, the white wolf introduced herself as Sky, one of the packs pupsitters. Sky took Leafpelt to Mistique, the herbalist. Mistique fixed Leafpelts face quickly, and then she was off for a tour of the camp with Sky. Over the next few days, Sky and Leafpelt became friends, sharing stories of their adventures and embarking on some morning walks to make new discoveries around the terrirory.

After some time, Leafpelt felt the call of the road again, and decided it was time to leave. Sky was sad to see her go, but she understood the need for freedom. Before the friends parted ways, Azuli gave Leafpelt a pair of smoky quartz bracelets as a reminder of her stay at Oak Ridge, and Sky shared one last walk with her.
