Hakon stood in front of Silver with a stiff tail. Silver was older now, weaker. Puny. Hakon grinned widely at how unstable this "Beta" was on his feet. "You've grown weak, Silver. Can you no longer train me?" Hakon taunted. "I can train you just fine, Hakon, and watch your tone," Silver growled. "Antler relies on you, yet you are too weak to even hunt. What will happen at the Howl of the Wolves? You're fighting Tygrys. He's a brute. You know he will kill you, don't you?" Silver was panting. His tail was no longer stiff. He raised his silver head and nodded solemnly. "I unfortunately do, young Hakon. That is why I must give you one final training session. If I miss the chase, I will have to fight Antler. That is something I do not want. He is my brother. My friend. My packmate." Hakon narrowed his eyes. After Khanrie'ahs death, this pack suffered a great depression. Not even Silver was safe from it. Hakon approached Silver from across the snowy clearing. The tall silver wolf bent his head to Hakon, stiffening. Hakon noticed the tension of the older wolf's muscles. Hakon touched his nose to Silver's shoulder, breathing in his scent. He remembered it quite well as a young pup, unfortunately with age, Silver's scent dulled. "Thank you for mentoring me, Silver."
