RavenCatcher stood on the outer banks of his old pack with FlameStarter, his best friend. His tail was neatly wrapped around his obsidian paws. His pack had exiled him due to his father, CrowStalker, betraying the pack. The two young pups suffered the consequences of RavenCatcher's fathers' betrayal. Their Alpha, OwlWatcher, was killed in cold blood by CrowStalker. RavenCatcher's ears fallen to his head, whining profusely. How could this be? Why did they have to suffer the consequences of his father's actions? What did HE do to deserve this? What did FlameStarter do to deserve this? FlameStarter licked his ears with a smile across her lips. She was.. Happy? His ears slightly raised in confusion. Why was she happy at a time like this? He smiled back at her and his tail gently started wagging. Her happiness was contagious. RavenCatcher and FlameStarter lifted themselves on their haunches and lifted their noses to the air. They opened their mouths to taste any prey scent nearby. FlameStarter huffed, "I can't find any prey! It's too cold here," FlamesStarter spat. She was right; it was cold, dreadful, and humiliating. It was nothing like the mountains with the balanced temperature and the wind against his fur. His tail began wagging happily at the thought of home. His ears raised when he heard thundering pawsteps behind them rapidly approaching. FlameStarter ducked down and pulled RavenCatcher down with her. A trunk of a tree had hidden them, their dark furs blending in with the dark brown bark. The tree was elderly with moss building up alongside the bark and leaves ripped from the stems of the tree trunks. Five large adult wolves had came to the riverside. Two had longer fur than the others and were taller with longer legs and longer fangs. They had heard of this pack from his old camp, they were apart of The Crimsonfang Pack; Strong, Heavy, Large, and Fatal wolves who respected the wilderness and only spilt blood at their King's demand. RavenCatcher's ears swiveled to the large brown wolf with shorter fur and a white throat, "I want Klondike and Silver to scope out the badger's rock. I heard Sharptalon Pack exiled some pups our way; I want them found safe and sound." This must be Antler! He is the Pack's Beta underneath Khanrie'ah, the older and wiser wolf who founded the pack. RavenCatcher flicked his ear, contemplating if he should expose himself. The back of his neck fur burned with the feeling of someone watching him. He gulped down a large feeling of fear that was welling up in his throat. He turned his head to see Antler and an unknown large wolf with bright red eyes and a darker brown pelt staring at him and FlameStarter.

The WILDERNESS is more breathtaking than the jaws of HUMAN.
