Biography
Half Wing started his morning duties, helping feed and tend to everyone first thing in the morning, still wobbly from waking up with the same dream. Watching his best friend leave beside him continued to ruffle his fur. Whenever he patted by a wolf with the same darkened Badger pattern his throat would tighten, threatening tears.
HalfWing dipped his head as he pushed last Toco's nurseries mossy entrance an looked around at all the small scooting pups still being licked clean by their respective mothers.
He smiled and tapped noses with the small scooting newborns belonging to Polaris and Toler before turning to Ms.Booker.
Seeing that same coat pattern put him on edge for a moment but he pushed it back into his chest as he looked down at the single pup pushed into bookers stomach. He let out a low whistle to get the cuddling pup's attention yet it didn't seem to respond, not even make a noise like the other surrounding newborns did.
HalfWing tilted his head, never seeing anything like this before. He kept a professional expression as he gently tapped the pup with his nose and asked booker
"is.. are they alright?"
"Of course, a young healthy male, he just has a bit of hearing loss but I'll love him even if it never clears.." booker responded with a sure nod as she lifts the pup gently to show her leader.
HalfWing's expression tightens as he stares wide eyed the pup before him. He knew that his late friend was a bit promiscuous and certainly had a type for darker pelts but he didn't know that one of his pack members was casually carrying his child?!
He shook thoes thoughts away as the pup's eyes opened for a quick blink before closing tight again.
"Thoes eyes. A perfect mixture of his and yours." He'd whisper to himself as he scooped the pup up for a closer inspection.
"He looks.. just like him." He spoke mornfully as he tried not to tear up Into the newborns, still slightly moistened, pelt.
"I've decided to name him Festerist. I just know that he's proud of him, i can feel him in the cave. I feel as though he's whispering to him, in a tone that only they can hear." Booker spoke solemnly.
HalfWing moved closer to the pup, pressing his forehead against Festerist's as he whispered
"Welcome home buddy.."
