Subdued; observant; unafraid of fights, even against enemies much larger or stronger than herself 

Lore

4 months: Found alone in the Mountains by Honey, the pack's Scout. He promptly brings her back to the Den, where she bristles at all the unfamiliar adults and responds to any questions with a high-pitched growl. Meanwhile, a hunting party is sent to look for the pup's dam. After a fruitless search, they conclude that she may have been abandoned. 

The pup is raised mainly by the Pupsitters, who ensure she is fed and has toys nearby to play with; but she refuses to socialise with any of her new packmates, and is sometimes caught trying to sneak out of the Den. 

5 months: The pup finally succeeds in sneaking away from the Ashen Pack, making her way to the place where Honey had found her. She spends hours waiting for her dam to return for her, and is eventually found by Kiyo, one of the pack's Stalkers. When she is brought back to the Den, she doesn't protest, and is very quiet for a couple of weeks. 

Once she processes the fact that her dam didn't plan on coming back, the pup starts making an effort to interact with her new packmates, starting by introducing herself as "Ellie" - short for Elecampane, which is a type of flower, but too much of a mouthful for her liking.
