ELYSIUM

is a passionate god, his fervor tempered only by His husband, Lord Andaras. He reigns over healers, spirits, the tides, marriage, music, obsession, children, and the night. Being of Aoene's blood, he also has some grasp over dreams, and he can often be found soothing restless creatures to sleep and disposing of their nightmares.

The stalking beasts of the night hold him as their father, bowing only to him and his true Chosen. The creatures of the night are strictly forbidden from harming children, and doing so would guarantee Elysium's full wrath.

He gifts mortals blessings aplenty, giving gifts of healing, music, nature, mind, and water. Rarely, to the special ones, does he give the gift of walking safely amongst his monsters of the night. Those with this gift are called his Chosen, for they have the strong favor of the god.

Gods he treats with less kindness, shirking any who are not his family and ignoring attempts to befriend him. As one of the most powerful gods, Elysium has convinced himself that all other gods are simply seeking after his power and cannot be trusted.

Priests of Elysium are highly educated and kind people who protect the land around and the creatures who live on it. Druidism is common amongst his priests, as Elysium is the father of the life-planet Baea, and he encourages caring for his daughter and all life on her.

His fathers are Aoene and Aerugo, though he is estranged from Aerugo. Elysium fathered Baea and Nøkken, and he is the brother of Lerinthys, who he used to be estranged with though they have recently reconciled.

Elysium is the cold, blue side of the moon, with his surface covered in black and silver grass, black trees with blue leaves, bioluminescent blue and white fruits and mushrooms, and glowing blue water. He is cast in perpetual night and winter, with many spirits dancing and thriving across his surface.

Elysium is a non-tidally locked moon in the orbit of a planet named Baea, with plentiful flora and fauna on its surface. It has significant pull on Baea's tides and makes the oceans impossible to traverse. Elysium is three times the size of Earth's moon.
