“The truth is far too boring to tell, why not spice it up a little?”
Scorched Timber has always been a bit of a.. tall-tale kind of wolf. The truth never made anyone excited, but the tales he could tell them? They were fascinating! Absolutely better than the silly truth. So what if it had only been one coyote instead of five? Or if his sister wasn’t as horrible as he portrayed? They were entertained and invested! Plus, he never said he wouldn’t stretch the truth a little. It was silly that other wolves would get so upset when they learned he hadn’t been telling a completely accurate to life depiction of his stories, who cared? They had loved it in the moment. And yeah, sometimes his habit of exaggeration slipped into normal life, but it wasn’t that bad.
At least some of his pack mates agreed, like Searing Citrine! She understood, and thought his abilities were very helpful. Even asked him to help her out a few times, a lovely wolf who appreciated him.
