Embla was born during summertime, in a very fruitful year which offered nearly infinite resources. Prey animals reproduced eagerly and their offspring was large and healthy. The pack, Embla was born into, was big and lucky to be blessed with healthy prey in huge numbers. Embla's mother had a litter of seven puppies, which was unusual. To everyone's surprise all seven survived and reached adolescence. 

As to be expected, a lot of puppies were born that year with the last litters arriving during the early winter months. Embla's birth pack had grown to a size which wasn't sustainable anymore. Many adolescents and young adults were suddenly fighting for their place in the pack and resources which once seemed plenty, depleted at alarming rates.

The following year was an extremely hard one. Overgrazing of feeding grounds and territorial fights caused the herbivores to wither. Smaller prey animals became scarce as birds of prey and other predators started feeding on them more frequently. Larger prey and herds of hooved animals left their feeding grounds to search for better places. Even the weather was bad and it rained frequently.

Embla's birth pack wasn't a safe haven anymore. Everyone was each other's enemy. Embla left with a few other young adults and their mentor. It wasn't long before they said goodbye and each wolf followed their own path. With her head held high, Embla entered a land unknown to her. As she neared her first birthday, she met a female wolf named Tala. Tala, an all black female with light coloured eyes, introduced herself as a guide of sorts. She had a very powerful aura around her and told Embla that she had guided many wolves before her and would guide many more to come. Embla figured she was an immortal being, more powerful than she could ever imagine. Empowered and encouraged by Tala, Embla founded her own pack named Angharad, after her late grandfather. 

Past that point everything developed pretty quickly. She met her soulmate "Deynfyr", who would become King of Angharad as her mate. A few pack members were found and most things fell into place by themself.

Eventually Embla gave birth to two puppies, sired by Deynfyr. Both of them were black in color. A male pup she named "Duro" and a female pup Deynfyr named "Eduna". As it was Embla's first litter and the puppies were conceived in a time of work and stress, both of them were on the smaller side and vulnerable. Guarded by Alecaiah and a pupsitter, when Embla and Deynfyr weren't there, both Duro and Eduna reached their fifth week. Past that marker however, both puppies became very sick with an unknown disease and sadly passed away.

While it was very hard on Embla and Deynfyr, both of them decided it was best for their pack to stay strong and care for the puppies they "adopted" into the pack. Maybe their next own litter will be stronger and grant them the joy of raising their puppies to adulthood.
