Sun Eyes was reaching his elder years, and had begun visiting many neighboring wolf packs in search of heirs. This search would be hard enough, but on top of this, he needed two wolves to take his place. The duties of supervising the pack's reproduction on top of everything else was too much for him, and so in future generations, the role of leader must split. 

It was on one of these early sojourns his eyes were drawn to the pure yet small pelt of a pup in the Repentance pack. As he grew closer, he observed the pale features of the pup, and finally the unnatural, pigmentless eyes took him in.

He sought out the pack's leader and inquired of the pup's condition. He was relieved to hear it was in good health, seeming to suffer no ill repercussions for its looks--outside the possibility for sunburn.

Sun returned to Sky Wheel territory shortly, and when he arrived with the pure white pup, there was an uproar. From rude inquiring pups to shocked and awestruck elders, every wolf had something to comment. He was named after the full moon he arrived under, and Smoldering Ash was entrusted with his care.
