Cybele

Named after an asteroid that was originally referred to as "Maximiliana." However, astronomers disliked its stray from classical naming conventions, and its name was altered to that of an earth goddess.

Cybele is truly her mother's daughter. As a pup, she would climb to the highest possible point on pack lands and survey the world below her, keeping a close eye on everything. And, as an adult -- watching over her pack as it's leader on at the top of The Bow -- she hasn't changed. Observant and fiercely detail-oriented, she ensures that no problem goes unsolved, that no pack member goes unheard or unnoticed.

While she is reserved and quiet by nature, within her is her mother's boisterous, playful streak. Whenever she isn't concerned with pack matters, Cybele is intensely adventurous and lively; unafraid to get her pelt dirty. After all, you can't see everything from up high, right? You have to experience everything to know everything, and there's no better way to do that then to get stuck in it, poke your nose into every nook and cranny. She's notorious for returning from scouts completely covered in mud, sticks, flowers, and whatever other earthen material that decided to tag along back home. Nothing a quick jaunt in the neighbouring stream won't fix.

True to form of Sagittarius wolves, Cybele has inherited a supernatural gift from the pack's founder and her mother, Vesta. Much like her namesake, Cybele has an uncanny ability to connect with nature. Her mothers would say that, when she was born, wildlife would frequently pay visits (which certainly unnerved a nesting Vesta, who often requested Astraea chase them out). When she experiences intense emotion, flowers sprout from her fur. This connection with nature allowed her to forge a close bond with the wise-cracking and prickly Tripp, a stoat. Wherever she goes, he follows, no matter how begrudgingly or reluctantly he makes himself out to be.
