There is a fire burning under Sulvurs skin, urging him forward and seeming to shine through his very eyes so that all who see him might get a glimpse at what lies within.
It is this fire that spurs his every action, the relentless teasing and harsh comments, the food stealing and the fighting. It was even the reason he had blood on his paws. Sulvur is nothing if not ambitious, and his past is littered with bodies, some of his own making and others not.
It is an open secret what he does, what he is. Sulvur is the type of wolf mothers tell their pups about to keep them from wandering too far from the den. The type you speak about in whispers, casting nervous glances over your shoulder like at any moment he might hear you, the type who when you say his name you lower your voice like even saying it aloud would summon him.
But most of all, Sulvur is the type of wolf who knows just how to get under Reistrs skin with his endless taunting and incessant flirting. The pair were complete opposites, and not just in looks. While yes, visually Sulvur did pose quite a contrast to the white wolf, it went deeper than that.
Namely, Reistr was a good person, and Sulvur couldn't be further from that. All the mean comments and flirting in the world couldn't make Reistr give up his righteous ways, and none of Reistrs good qualities seemed to be rubbing off on Sulvur anytime soon. They were at a standstill, to put it simply.
Part of Sulvur didn't want the standstill to ever break, wanted their little game to never end. He enjoyed getting under Reistrs skin, watching the wolf get angry and stalk about. But there's another part of him that wants him to win, that small fire that is partially responsible for all the bodies he left in his wake.
There is a fire burning under Sulvurs skin, one that is at war with itself. He cannot end the game he plays because he is too attached to the wolf he plays it with, but he cannot play the game forever either. His obsession with Reistr demands that he always somehow make the wolf suffer, make him angry, goad him into action. If Reistr dies, so does the suffering. And so, Sulvur taunts him, forever caught between adding Reistr to the pile of bodies in his past, and keeping him alive so they might torment each other for eternity.
