Khumbu was born to Valley and Seishin, a protective and beautiful female and the pack's current "stud". Although not the strongest like Menelaus, or the most beautiful like Arenul, Khumbu was still rather cared for in his own way; Valley made sure of that.
Although due to his tendency to give his pupsitter, Light, the slip gave him his nickname "Slip".
And rather than be jealous of Pipevine being taken under Seishin's wing (or paw), Khumbu was thankful. He didn't want to have multiple pups with multiple females, and even though he wanted pups one day he just didn't feel anything remotely "romantic" at all for anyone. No crushes or attraction at all.
Although he seemed quite... attached at least to Patron.
