Rufus Mesaleaper is the dedicated Herbalist of Ōkami Pack, determined and aloof. His previous pack had abandoned him after a failed hunt, after which Renex took him in. Though he might seem distant, he loves his pack dearly and awkwardly expresses it.
Personality: As a wolf of science and knowledge, Rufus is determined to get his facts straight. His only urge aside from the basic needs is finding out the truth and learning whatever the world has to offer. Ruf often appears to be lost in thought, though it is never in his nature to emotionally hurt anyone. Unlike with his herbalism, wolves and their minds are very mysterious to him; he has trouble with social interaction, but does everything within his power to understand his packmates' feelings. He's always eager to infobomb others as well.
Appearance: Rufus is a big boy for sure. He's large and thick-furred, colored a deep, fiery Amber with appropriate Honey markings to highlight parts of his body. His fur is very soft to touch and much shorter than one would expect, hinting at the muscular, burly figure underneath. For a wolf, his ears are on the shorter side and the same can be said about his tail, earning him the nickname 'Red Bear' from Amatt, his closest friend within Ōkami Pack. He bears no scars on his skin.
