The day Zane was born his pack was moving to new territory. A few days pass and his mother and father had to make sure he was fed enough for the trip but when it came down to the day where they were actually leaving they decided he wasn't strong enough for the trip and left him in the old cave. He sat and cried out but no one came back for him. That night while on patrol Romana and her mate Dragomir heard distant cries and found Zane in the cave alone. They stayed with him for hours until they realized that he had been abandoned. At that moment they decided to take him with them and raised him like their own.
