Artemis was a bad leader for his first pack, mainly due to his lack in social skill he needed to govern a pack. But even his old mate couldn't stay long due to her illness, Artemis loved her so much since they both were thrown into this work together through and old pack and their sister pack throwing their apprentices out to discover their own lives....
The tradition was stupid and Artemis hated it cause this only happened due to them being deemed weak... Nocturnal was a brave, beautiful, wolf....he remembered their failed litters with his pups dying cause of her sickness. He never blamed her though, but the pride started to doubt them, making Artemis believe the herbalist didn't do his greatest job to care for her because he doubted her strength....
Artemis growled and clawed the ground in anger as dirt sprayed around as some cling to his paws, paws covered in old sticky dry blood....he didn't register that he was covered in it...his fur sticking close to his body as leaves, sticks, and dirt collected over time while he traveled. He thought, 'If only he gave her more medicine.....more attention....more care!!!'
He slammed his paw down again in rage as he saw red for slit second, but calmed knowing it was actually his fault....if only he didn't let his emotions get to him...if only he watched how the pack was losing respect cause he didn't enforce it more...so he traveled furthermore into the forest away from his no broken pack. Even if he lost them, they didn't forget his strength in being and alpha wolf, even a runt of one was still deadly....
