Naming Conventions: Human surnames. Finch- himself named after a famous human- has spent most of his life with a vicious, bitter hatred towards humankind, and changed his own name to avoid this legacy.
However, by the time of his final litter, Finch has come to accept his past- if not to forgive the humans who hurt him- and when offered the chance to name him and Hayseed's pup, he chose to name her in the way he himself was named, passing on the convention.
