he went from a young pup raised by his grandparents, to
an orphaned adolescent on his own in the deciduous forest.
his grandmother had a dream of starting her own pack, and
snufkin felt he owe it to her to fulfill that dream after she was gone.
along his journey he met his friends, mymble and snorkmaiden, and they
formed a pack in which they named hiems lupi. the pack grew bigger
and the wolves grew stronger until they developed a reputation, and
snufkin eventually mated to earthquake, who gave birth to their son, mox.
