An unfriendly and uncaring wolf - that's the image this man carries with him. 

It is, however, somewhat truthful. Red doesn't much care for his subjects. Seeing them as more of a means to his end goal, than anything else. 

Even his second in command is nothing more to him than a particularly good tool. Keeping her at arms length and only filling her in on what's absolutely necessary.

Wolves are often leaving his pack soon after they join - unable to handle the harsh, militaristic environment that naturally follows their King.
