Bando is a strange pup. When he was born, his mother rejected him because he looked nothing like a wolf. He was small, his legs too weak to carry him, his nose barely big enough to let air in, his breathing rapid and erratic. His mother left him to die, he laid on the cold forest floor, shivering, wishing he was never born. He didn't understand what was wrong with him, and why his mother looked at him with so much disgust. As he thought he was all alone, he felt a gentle touch and looked into the kind eyes or a fox. "No worry, little one", the fox said in a strange, high pitched voice, "Trust." Bando blinked. The fox howled, strange words that Bando did not understand, and then he saw a bright light. From it, a black wolf decended, it had violet eyes and horns and star-like sparkles all over his fur. "The moon wolf has heard your calls and pleads", the being said, and looked down at the pityful pup. "I shall grant you eternal life, in exchange for your soul, fox, once you pass." The fox looked down to the pup, and Bando knew that she was aware her wish came at a price. She nodded. The black creature stepped over to Bando, his nose touched the pup's head and Bando felt an electrical bolt pass through him. Suddenly, he could breathe, he could see and hear properly, the world was so colorful! As he blinked, the mythical wolf was gone, leaving him alone with the fox. Bando got onto his stubby legs, who were now strong enough to support him. "I don't know how to thank you", he whined, but the fox smiled gently. "I lost pup", she said, "Save other life if I can."
One day he met Luna, the leader of a strong wolf pack around the area where he lived. Luna offered him to join them, but Bando insisted that the fox and her pups could stay with him. Luna was a kind alpha, and so she agreed. "What is your name?", Luna asked, and he answered:"I am Bando." His mother had never given him a name, but one night he dreamed that she did, and kept it, maybe as a wish of unreturned love. But Luna's pack never looked at him strange, they never acted like he was different, they gladly shared their food with the foxes, and Bando felt finally home.
