Though he was a failed attempt an heir for his father due to a technicality, he still stood proudly with The Wanderer's Pact and took on the mantle of a hunter. He found success but felt empty internally, like something was still missing for him. He confided to his mother over this, and she pondered what his complicated feelings meant. During a hunt, he fell into the Dreamlands after accidentally knocking himself out on a tree branch (he really didn't see it coming), and found himself on the other side... more than a little different, but far more content with their body. Turns out he wasn't meant to be a replacement of one parent at all, but to be herself. She embraced this, excitedly telling Ruth of her adventures in the Dreamlands and Ruth became a supportive surrogate mother to help her through the process. One elixir drunk and a night afterwards, the process was a bit grueling but she came out of it only a bit disoriented. Ruth’s son, Butterfly, suggested the name Dream for her as a name among the pack and since he is to be the next lead; she took it as an honor to accept the suggestion.
