Champagne

Champagne was a natural leader since she was born, such was being the largest pup in her litter. Her mother and adoptive father were the alpha and beta, giving her a inherent right to the position once they passed on. Once she grew older, she started to grow envious to her half-siblings as they could challenge her for their mother's position. This grew a much bigger problem when her half-sibling Cub had shown she was bearing cubs of a leader from another pack. Champagne had never considered Cub a competitor as her stats and appearance were lacking, plus her well appreciated position of pupsitter. Now her future pups would certainly be able to challenge her, and more importantly Dew. Champagne went to what everyone thought was to sulk, but to her was to plan. The pups would have more of a birthright due to their grandfather being the late Hare, which certainly put a wedge in her plan since there was nothing she could do to change their bloodline. She decided she might as well build up public appearances to sway the pack's opinions.

I took a knife and cut out her eye

I took it home and watched it wither and die              

Well, she's lucky that I didn't slip her a smile

That's why she sleeps with one eye open

But that's the price she'll pay

Her niece Wisdom has been declared the leader after Dew had been suffering from a bad case of Influenza, one even Limestone was unable to cure. Champagne knew she was at a disadvantage as the pack trusted Wisdom's bloodline over hers, but she was sure she would've been able to change their minds. Now, all she could do was look on as her desperation boiled over into a white-hot anger. One day, she would lead. One day, they would all see.

Champagne is a bitter and judgmental wolf, though the pack respects her hunting skills. However she has a soft spot for her mate Grizzly and their pups, who her brother Marigold had fathered so the pair could have children.
