A flicker here, a soft giggle there, an indescribable amount of soft nips and pulls to his tail when one would think he's unaware. Alkey knew there was some mischievous little devil about in the den, and in the territory. It wasn't strange, many young and unnatural pups often found their way to him, it was not an uncommon occurrence. So it was only natural he played the part of confused or oblivious until this one decided to show itself to him, allowing the youngling to choose when it was ready to truly engage with him. It took a couple months, but finally, in the setting rays of the sun on the first day of spring, a small bright pup revealed itself.
He had just laid down to enjoy the warmth of the fading sun, maybe even take a nap, when his ears picked up the sound of small curious sniffs near his face. Out of amusement he kept his eyes shut, and let the pup take it's time as it explored his unusual form. Only when it came around to his face once more, and he felt the tickle of its nose near one of his cheeks, did he slowly strike. A lazy large paw coming up to lay across the pups back and pin the small one down, earning him a surprised cry. As it wiggled around under the weight of his much heftier limb, did he raise his head with a chuckle, looking over this tiny being, "well, well, seems I've finally caught the little imp who's been nipping my tail." He gave pause, as the pup stilled to watch him properly, allowing the child to take it's time as he knew he looked more intimidating then he was.
To his surprise the pup looked almost in awe as opposed to in fear, it's large sapphire eyes seeming to commit him to memory, "only cause I let you!" It squeaked out in what he could only assume to be defiance.
This one would be Alkeys first visiting pup to open to him so wholeheartedly and so quickly.

The pup spent months with Alkey, trading stories of the worlds it would hop between, the wolves it would meet. Some were very good, one even happened to be his closest ally and friend who happened to of rescued this pup from slaughter. Others were of the worst kind, ignoring it's needs and neglecting it. Alkey listened to all of it, at least when the pup wasn't busy pulling on or hanging off of his ears or tail, or trying to trip him as he walked. He even praised the little one for it's resilience, and even it's good nature to continue to offer it's trust to others no matter how unworthy.
Even learning the pups name to be Caricature, a name quite fitting for a pup as unique as itself.
They bonded heavily through this time, and Alkey even helped the pup with it's wings as they finally seemed to grow in, making sure it was comfortable and looked after while it needed it. And as the pup began to grow homesick, Alkey provided it a friend to go along and keep it company on it's journey back. He of course also followed from a distance, to ensure the youngling made it back to it's home safely.
Caricature would always be welcome in Alkeys home, whenever he wished to visit again.
