Born into a pack with strong family values and an emphasis on hard work getting you the things you needed in life, Clayton didn't struggle at all to figure out how he wanted to run Homestead. Nestled in the mountains a short trip from the local lake, the pack is definitely his baby. Family, of course, isn't only the ones you're born with. Clay was happy to meet Vitalia, an imaginative young wolf and his first pack mate. Together they discovered a home, built a pack, and even shared a litter.
Clayton went on to sire more than a few litters, eager to build the pack but also to build future bonds with others. He has taken in mothers and their children, providing safety and food while the pups ween and the mothers figure out their next step. He's sent his children to learn with other packs, because he is not fool enough to think that his way is the only way just because it works for him. Overall, Clay is just a simple wolf waiting to see where his future takes him.
The years seemed to wind by, the winters dragging on and the spring time slipped through the cracks in his pawpads. Pups were born. Some made it, others didn't. Vitalia, bless her, found her calling elsewhere, and Clayton found himself saying goodbye to both her and one of their daughters. While it broke his heart to see her go, Clay knew that she had to follow her own path. He will be forever grateful to Vitalia for helping him down his own, for the time that she could.
