Farrouq Paspilar né Redwyne, hence the name, was born into House Redwyne. House Redwyne is a lesser house, with origins of desert immigrants turned raspberry farmers and merchants. To date it is known for its strong business of all things to do with raspberries, especially sweet and tart wines.
He is the widow of Lord Aemilios of the Great House Paspilar, from whom Farrouq got his most recent last name and current house allegiance. He has had many other marriages throughout his life, both wives and husbands, all resulting in countless children and grandchildren. He is the youngest child of the late Lady Shohreh Redwyne and younger brother to his sisters Jameela, Khshayatosht, and Iphigenia Redwyne.
With the conservative nature of upper-class society, Farrouq’s string of marriages (and fair share of scandals) is naturally a source of rancorous gossip. For this, he is sometimes referred to as the Raspberry Tart. When he is not there to hear it, though, or the speaker would likely receive a taste of his sour tongue!
Farrouq is most distinguished by his sharp wit, mocking tongue, staunch femininity, and his tendency to state his opinions with a brazen openness. Impatient, haughty, snobbish, and over all a very fancy lady, Farrouq holds little and waning tolerance for any sort of trivial inconvenience. He is quite the fearsome harridan, and not near as physically frail as he might pretend.
