Biography
About Worthless Paradise:
So, the reasoning behind the pack name is that, in my opinion, utopias or paradises are worthless in that there's nothing but artificial perfection in every direction. Nothing feels good if there's no struggles, so, to me, a place without struggles seems like a place where people live and die without meaning. There's no reason to be stubborn, there's no life lessons, there's no feeling of accomplishment when you succeed because the system is supposed to be designed so that you have to strain as little as possible.
It can also backfire, as everyone is handed everything they want. People can become arrogant if everything is handed to them. Also, what happens to conflict of interests in utopias? Where many people live, there will always be those who disagree and fight, which would shatter the image of someplace where everyone is happy. In order for true paradise to exist, we become empty shells unable to experience negative emotions that would cause the image of perfection to break apart.
I digress... I see Paradise as worthless... so welcome to the "Worthless Paradise."
Despite that, I intend for this pack to thrive with as little struggle as possible. I will try my best to make sure everyone is fed and happy, but I cannot make any promises. I will make sure my pack doesn't exceed 40 members as a way to achieve this.
Now, you may be wondering: Who gets to join the pack?
Well, I mostly want to adopt pups who were abandoned by their family at Lillemor's; however, I won't shy away from 'rescuing' wolves who are desperately in need from packs that neglect them. This will be a rare occurrence, though. Oftentimes we simply don't have the room for every soul that needs helping, so I have no choice but to turn a blind eye to one or the other.
(Currently I have a lot of NBW from when I first started playing the game and didn't realize the path I wanted to take... so, they're exceptions to the rules right now. I will let them live and die happily here if possible.)
The rules:
Rule 1: Female Hunters are banned from breeding. After too many struggles with the pregnant females holding up their non-pregnant teammates, Octavius decided to ban them from reproducing. Females who don't want children are very pleased by this. (Inbred wolves are more likely to become hunters by default.)
Rule 2: Pupsitters are considered a non-rank! They will remain in unranked as they aren't performing any active duties. Pupsitting is very important, but not enough to qualify for anything major in Octavius's eyes.
Rule 3: Pups will not remain in the pack unless they prove themselves worthy! It'll be a rare instance for a pup to be an exemplar and catch Octavius's attention.
Rule 4: Appearances do not matter here. We accept you so long as you can pull your weight.
