Darkness. The smell of dampness and death.

You raise your head slowly, carefully. Eyes flickering in and out of focus as you struggle to gain consciousness. The floor is cold and hard.

"Greetings, stranger."

A deep, malevolent voice pierced the silence, sending a chill down your spine.

"We do not take kindly to outsiders."

"Where am..?" Your voice cracked, trailing off.

You could see better now, the towering, dark figure of a wolf. A massive creature, an aura of authority and hostility surrounding him. "The end."

The wolf spoke with a grating voice, his stained teeth glinted in the pale light. His claws scraped across the cold stone floor, and worse, eyes sharp and glittering with ill-intent. Scars littered his thick pelt as he took a step towards you, out of the shadows he calls home.

Flickers of blue fire sparked from his extremities, narrow yellow eyes disappearing behind a veil of blue. A sudden rush of heat rushed from the wolf, the fire began pulsating and rising, simply engulfing all that it touched.

Panic.

You struggled vainly, limbs heavy, trembling with the effort. Was this really the end?

Too late! Consumed by blue fire, the last thing you glimpsed was the eerie face of the Wardog.
