Her paw pads beat the sandy ground beside the stream beside her. Her tail was out in a stream behind and her fur was pressed flat to her face by the wind. Her tiny puppy teeth showed milk white as she grinned. Her small white ears swiveled on her head to listen to the crashing of bracken and foliage behind her. She dove out from under the trees and onto a cliff. Below her the valley of the mountains spread out in a vast stretch. The sun from the dusk light turned her nose, eyes, and paws a light pink. She panted and grinned. A rustle of trees sounded behind her and she craned he neck to see her friend and pursuer, Conifer, romping over to her side.
Spruce arrived to the Fallen Valley pack when she was a puppy. She was openly welcomed since she was so young, and the older wolves didn't see her as a threat. Spruce is very bossy and always pushes the younger pups who can't hold their own around. Her overly dominant personality has earned her a high ranking with the other pups, and she hangs around with the pups like Hickory and Conifer. Spruce plays pranks on the other pups and has earned a reputation with the older wolves as a spoiled pup. She spends most of her time flaunting her latest catch (usually grasshoppers) around the den.
