During the lesson: For small prey, Vesta explained claws are your best asset. She demonstrated to Lotario that there are ways to pin prey down and kill with a small bite to the neck, rather than trying to bite the entire piece of prey and ruining it.
During the lesson: Lotario leapt powerfully at Vesta and went for the thick fur under her neck. Vesta was faster and swatted Lotario away, growling that going for the underside of the neck is only for killing, not for play.
During the lesson: Caelia concentrated on the bumblebee hovering above a large, white flower. Nothing else existed in this very special moment, and Vesta couldn't help but watch in approval.
During the lesson: In the lesson today, Ganymedes and Caelia learned how strategy can be useful when hunting in a group and trying to chase a big prey animal like Vesta pretended to be. With group coordination and a perfectly timed call, Caelia was able to tackle the pretend-elk to the ground.
During the lesson: Vesta showed Ganymedes that every time they take a herb from nature, they must put a small piece of it back into the earth. This is so the herb can sprout again and continue to provide what the pack needs.
Ganymedes learned being the fastest isn't always the only necessary factor of success. Vesta explained basic methods of fooling a potential prey or a pursuer.
Vesta pushes something in your direction, ordering you to take it. The gift and their attitude are so contradictory that you're not quite sure what to make of it.
It looks like Vesta is telling the pups what to do and how to do it. Again.
During the lesson: Vesta took a particularly fun toy in her mouth before hiding among foliage and large boulders. Ganymedes was expected to find and ambush her and the toy would be his reward.
You catch Vesta barking orders to their packmates. They quickly shut up when they see you and feign innocence.
During the lesson: Vesta arranged a lesson where all the puppies roleplayed the life of a pack, changing roles on Vesta's signal. Azionano experienced being a leader but also a subordinate, and realized that every role has its purpose.
During the lesson: Odricles had some problems with drawing a line between teamwork and playtime with his littermates. Vesta was serious when they told them that bonding and working together were not the same thing.
Today Vesta led Odricles to a place where hiding spots were not so obvious. Odricles had to think out of the box to outsmart Vesta.
