"Breeze? Breeze? Breeze!"
The grey damsel snapped from her thoughts, grey-hued eyes dancing to the black sire at her side, eyeing her with an air of concern.
"We need an answer Breeze, what do you want to do?"
He spoke firmly, yet gently all the same, and Breeze found herself relaxing despite the direness of their situation. Right, she had been gifted the title of Alpha after leaving her old pack behind. These wolves needed guidance, they needed somewolf strong enough to lead them into the next day. She just wasn't sure she could be that wolf. Even so, Linx gave her a leveled gaze, nodding encouragingly when Breeze wanted to falter and run. She couldn't... No. She
wouldn't back away from this.
"Everywolf listen up!"
Breeze paused, her gaze darting around until she found a suitable place to make her speech. It was a set of rocks angled up into the air, just flat enough at the top for her to stand. Below it held a small alcove of sorts. This could work. She made short work of climbing the short perch, looking down at the wolves below her. They looked up at her expectantly.
"I know it wasn't easy to leave behind all we knew, but I can't express how grateful I am to you all. Our decision, our sacrifices led us to this point and I have no intention of letting this life we've been granted go to waste."
She paused, letting her words sink in. The longer she spoke the more confident she felt, standing just a little straighter with her head held just a bit higher.
"This is our home now. It's not much but we will build a pack to be proud of here. We've worked hard up until now, and I ask that you all continue putting forth your best for the good of us all."
She heard their voices of agreement, and she couldn't deny the pride that swelled within her chest. They could do this. Her old family be damned for what they tried to tell her. She was good enough, she was strong enough. With her companions, her friends,
they were strong enough.
"From this day forth, this is the Dawn's Horizon Pack!"
