Amberheart

Amberheart was born to a lone wolf mother who cared for her deep in the mountains, her mate having died a few weeks prior in a mountain lion ambush while hunting. Her mother passed down her survival skills and her hard-earned experience as she protected her only pup. Unfortunately, life in the mountains was unforgiving…and one day, when Amberheart had wandered too far in pursuit of a rabbit, a bear attacked.

Just as Amberheart was cornered by the raging mountain of fur and teeth, her mother leaped into the fray, bravely challenging the much larger predator. Snarling and snapping at its massive paws, her mother lured the bear away from her adolescent daughter…at a grave price. The much stronger bear had eventually caught the brave mother with one of his massive paws, it's claws tearing out her throat.

Horrified, Amberheart fled with her tail between her legs, distraught about the death of her mother…her sacrifice had given her life. She wouldn't waste it! Months afterwards, after wandering from territory to territory, Amberheart met the love of her life Mudfur and started a pack of her own.
