Loki was the first born child of queen Cerys I, along with his brother, Thor. Thor died of an illness when they were still young children. Thor was white as snow, like their mother and many believed it was a sign from the gods. A punishment, or maybe a warning. After Thor's passing, the young prince had a rather lonely childhood. He was chosen by the Cardinal Æstrid, to become her first Acolyte. It was a great honor, and Loki took the position very seriously. The prince devoted himself to his studies. Spending his youth learning the art of healing, reading the stars, and even deciphering the subtle signs left by the gods.
