5/14/23: Sedge is a young, inexperienced leader and basically the phrase "cringefail girl" incarnate. She's in a queerplatonic relationship with Grayling, and the two of them plus the herbalist Clover are a trio made in… somewhere that's decidedly not heaven. Sedge was promoted to leader suddenly and without warning, so she's decidedly not great at her job yet, but she's trying her hardest and has older, wiser packmates to advise her.

Sedge is the young leader to an old, old pack. Her role was passed on to her by her predecessor Aster, from the lineage of the legendary Ash, founder of the pack. Aster's dying wish was for Sedge to take the pack and escape to the mountains, a new home free from the sickness that killed Aster and many of her packmates. Only newly an adult, Sedge was out of her depth, but she followed Aster's last command and took the pack on the treacherous journey to the far-away mountain range. Despite being free from the sickness, the mountains were not the haven Sedge and her pack hoped they would be. The soil was rocky and infertile, the prey were few and far between, and the cliffsides were treacherous to navigate. Many wolves left the pack, and over time it dwindled down to only a few members who held faith in their new, inexperienced leader. Recently, though, the scouts have heard news spreading that the sickness has died down and the lowlands are safe again. Finally, Sedge and her pack can undertake the long journey back to their ancestral home in the forest.
