Pair bonded: Eydis, fierce huntress and a founding member of the pack.
Xanthe wears a cool earring and bracelet as a symbol of her role in the pack. Her second, Morberyn, wears a similar bracelet but no earring.

In the mist pack, the alpha is not necessarily the strongest, but the most trusted.
They make decisions for the pack as a whole and for individual wolves, being involved in many roles like pair-bonding, possible offspring from unions, scrying for possible complications like mutations, and also naming, one of the most important roles. They are the keeper of names; they name every wolf in the pack.
This knowledge is theirs alone; they are the keeper of the knowledge so that no-one else may use it maliciously.


The leader's role is inherited - the wolf must be related to the original lead wolf, Xantheone, and the co-founder of the pack, Zatigar.
(it would be interesting to breed Xantheone to a stud wolf, and then breed one of that line with one of Zatigar's with another female wolf - then that wolf would also be able to inherit)
Note to self: It would be good to keep a MALE pup of xantheone's so I can have a few backup counsins. Said male pup could be from a father not Zatigar as mentioned above.


General rules of naming:
- wolves from outside the pack get a cool name with no constraints
- wolves related to pack-born wolves (i.e. related to Zatigar, or an NBW) get names according to a dynasty: inherited from the mother
- the name might start with the same sound or incorporate it somewhere in the name, or have roughly to same number of syllables
- pups descended from the leader ignore the same letter/syllable conventions - they can use any sounds, but have a specific name ending in '-ael', '-iel', something similar etc.
Currently the only example I have is Raanael. Other names are: Irael, Iriel, Sifiel

Names specific to lineages:
R - wolves descended from Rehannin/Portia (daughter)
- except my gal Portia why did I name her that
- begin with R or P
- have an 'i' in there somewhere ideally
Here we go: Raneith, Porphyria, linkPyheria, Raaleth/ Raalet, Raktarin, Palaris

I kind of want another R dynasty and just go with P because Portia is the new cool. Starting with Rakalwel. Maybe one of Portia's pups can have the R names and one can have the P names.

Morberyn:
- M, N or O - maybe P??
- Mirabella
Some dude names that incorpate the letter m in there somewhere?
- Nyx - Myx

Astatin:
- currently doesn't really have much of a naming convention but i should
- start or end with a, preferrably have an s or t in there somewhere to
Other names: kalliana, arsinoe, innthe, sithin

(for another of Kalliana's offspring: name a pup after her late sister, Orpha: Orphe (Or-fee)

Hypatia
- Th- and -yn names are better i think
- Thurryn was one of the first three major huntresses. Unfortunately I don't have data because she left and I was broke. But anyway! the trifecta was: Thurryn, Thalalie, and Thyra

the other two huntresses: Thalalie and Thyra
- start with th, or if i start running out of ideas have it somewhere else, and perhaps an 'a' would help to make them more similar to if possible.

Fyotli - Fyot, Fyotleth, Fyothast, Fyothari, Fyotari, Fyotallia, Fyotheria, Fyotarin, Fyotsyne

Mirrin - she can have the M names too.
(This works very well atm because current names are: Mirrin, Amias, Mirag)
