{BIO}
Axlene was born into a family of rouge wolves who wandered from territory to territory to avoid being found. They never stayed in one place for too long, so when Axlene’s mother announced that she was to have pups, that put a hold on their nomadic life. They found an abandoned fox burrow not far from Pack territory, and settled into a quiet life to avoid being detected. Axlene was the first to be born, her mother telling her that she let out an ear splitting cry after being born, one that told her parents how strong she was bound to be.
Axlene had one littermate, a younger brother- the runt. Her mother tried to be kind and caring to both of her pups, but often doted over her daughter more than her son. As Axlene grew, she noticed that her mother often fed her first, and then allowed her brother to have whatever the young she-wolf didn’t want to eat, and so Axlene would purposely eat less to let her brother have a meal. It still didn’t do much to help, as he was forced to sleep on the outside of their nest while Axlene slept curled between her parents, warm during the cold winter months.
Waking one morning in the middle of the winter, she found her parents sitting outside the den, her fathers paws caked with snow and wet earth, an air of sadness hanging around them. Her brother was missing, but she wasn’t given time to search for him- her parents informed her they would be moving to another den. It was then, at the age of 4 months that she was introduced to her family’s true life. Her mother and father taught her to hunt, and when she had the free time she would sneak away from her parents' protection to watch whatever Pack whose territory they were staying in at the time. Pack life fascinated her, and she wanted nothing more to join, but knew her parents would never approve. She vowed she would just watch from the shadows, never to join a pack.
Years passed, and Axlene noticed that her parents were starting to take longer to move territories. They were having more close calls, and Axlene had to talk their way out of trouble more than once. The winters were getting hard on her parents, the cold making their joints stiff and they would often end up with colds. Axlene knew they needed a more permanent home for them to live out the rest of their days. And that’s what she told them, preparing for her solo journey to find them a final home, a trip that would hopefully take no more than a month. She promised not to be caught before she headed out, saying her quick goodbyes to her family over her shoulder. Her task proved to be more difficult than she had intended, as every spot she deemed worthy was too close to a Pack’s camp, and she was about to return home when she decided to head to the mountains half a month into her journey. She found many caves that would provide a good final home, and began the long trek back to her parents, her heart happy that she had completed her quest. Happiness that didn’t last long.
Upon arriving back to where her parents were hiding, the scent of blood overwhelmed her. Fear flooded her body and quickly turned to dread when she turned the corner to see her elderly parents' dead bodies laid on the ground, a new layer of snow dusting their fur. She could hear the Pack close by, and turned on her heel, sprinting back toward the mountains. They had been found, she would not.
Axlene lived in the mountains by herself for about a year and a half, hunting small prey around the area, before she was found by Uemis. She was wary, but he seemed kind, and offered her a place in her pack. The she-wolf was skinnier than she had ever been after a harsh winter and didn’t hesitate to accept the male wolf’s offer. To her surprise, she was welcomed to the new Pack warmly, and was quickly offered a role as Hunter, which she couldn’t turn down. She knows that her parents wouldn’t be proud of her joining a Pack, but she often thinks of her little brother and knows that he would be proud of her- and that’s all she needs.
