Born to SootFur’s first litter, MinnowSkip witnessed firsthand how ugly and unfair life and death can be. His brother, GoosePup, was killed by a bear outside of camp, leaving MinnowSkip and his remaining brother to bear the burden of a trauma they could not yet understand. MinnowSkip lost two brothers when GoosePup died, as later in life SmokePaw became consumed by his rage and it drove him away from his caring, trusting brother. MinnowSkip still calls his brother SmokePaw despite his name now being BearKiller, denying the wolf his brother has become.
