Elestren remembered the first time she had met Faye. Their first interaction had been accommpanied by a strange black she-wolf. The she-wolf had been a little smaller in stature than Elestren, but it was clear from the look in her eyes that she was far more experienced in living independently.
Ever since that moment, that strange wolf had been teaching them, helping them grow their pack, and the more time Elestren spent with Faye, the more she realized that the magnolia colored wolf wasn't just naive and optimistic in a puppy like manner but also protective and very willing to lead their future pack.
That was when Elestren realized that her heart started to beat a little more for Faye.
She may have had pups with Kamal, and she loves them to death. She would give everything up for her precious pups, but her heart won't beat for Kamal the way it does for Faye. Her blue eyes widen with admiration, with love, everytime she looked at the pack leader.
Faye might not share the same feelings for her but she knows that everything will be fine as long as she is able to stand beside the she-wolf she holds close to her heart.
