There's been all this talk lately about Labradorite and Rust and who likes who. Everyone's arguments are so small-minded and petty. The world is so much bigger than our little bubble here in the forest, where the leaves blanket the ground in autumn and hunting is always plentiful. So few of our wolves have stretched their legs across the wild uncharted northern tundra, the blistering hot desert, the dense rainforest, the ice cold artic. . .if they had spent as much time out as I have, would they care so much for these little issues? I think not. They complain that Labradorite sends them too far away on their hunts, but I see no issue. Their lives are better for having seen the world. I know that mine is. I wish more wolves could be Scouts, could see the world like I do, could taste the prey I catch for myself on my solo wanders. More specifically, I wish my youngest sister, Bauxite, could join me. She is not meant for a life in the nursery. And no, I won't call her 'Bauxie'. Nicknames are a Hunter thing, for when they need to snap out quick instructions in the field. It was our father's nickname for her. I will not take it. Anyways, I suspect Labradorite intends to move the pack. And I'm excited for the journey, even if I have to take it with other wolves this time.
