On March 18th, 2022 while nursing her new 4 pups (that, to what Blaze Buwrn told Mae, were going to be enslaved) Blaze Buwrn walked up to Bronze Buwrn and said a bunch of weird things. While she was still in the Nursing Cave.

"Base stats.... Mummble mummble... 99... total..." It was odd, but she had been doing that to a lot of the other pups from what other mothers had heard.

While looking for herbs Brick Buwrn, who was hanging out with Mae because Brick is a little rebel, started talking about how Blaze Buwrn would talk about "A Stronger Vessel", Mae knew Brick was insane at times but after Brick's 'sister' was banished from Breezy Demons because she was too 'weak willed' it didn't sound the craziest.

After returning to her Herbalist hole, It got Mae theorizing, Blaze Buwrn appeared out of nowhere much like how all packs were first started and took lead without anyone challenging her. What if Blaze was some kind of interdimensional spirit? Like the Barghest? Just Blaze's goal is to find and possess the strongest wolf before the body she's in dies.

At times like these, she kinda wishes her mentor Coppar Clov-- Copper was still around to tell what Mae should and shouldn't keep to herself, but of course, impulse control wasn't Mae's strong suit, she couldn't keep this to herself so she told Socks Clay (her "Mate" despite her only being with him via Blaze Buwrn's command.) what she theorized.

A few years after Blaze died and Basil took over, the pack started to grow for the greater good. Mae was very happy and lost track of time. It was only when Basil mentioned it was when she realized how the leaves started to change. She was almost nearing her end, and she realized she hadn't had an heir to her craft. Someone to keep the Clover legacy.

Before Selar died Selar asked Mae a lot of strange things. Something Mae doesn't think she'll ever get the answer to. But there was a certain grandchild of Selar's that Mae had an eye on. Zepheria Umamis had a naturally keen eye for herbs and greens. Maybe it was destiny and Mae was supposed to carry on the legacy of Copper Clover by training another not of their blood but of their craft.

All she hopes is that Zepheria won't witness the same mistakes Mae had when she was an apprentice of Copper.
