Personality: Vergil is an overall reserved wolf, his upbringing making him cautious of new wolves. He's not good at initiating affection but is always sure to reciprocate it. He has a soft spot for pups and being around them causes him to loosen up and he will play with them. Besides pups his emotions are usually reserved for those closest to him.

Vergil is the son of Amor, leader and breeding male of his birth pack. Amor had high hopes for his son, wanting him to take his place as head wolf and breeder so their strong bloodline could continue.
Vergil however had no interest in leadership or breeding, and always made that clear to his father. Amor would try to have the females of the pack court him, and out of frustration, the males as well. Vergil showed no interest in any of them, knowing they didn't have genuine feelings. When approached by a female in heat he would hide away, having no interest in them.
The only wolf Vergil had interest in was Dante, one of the other males in the pack. He was known for his flirtatious and outgoing personality, and it was no secret he wanted to be the next leader when Amor passed.
Dante was the only one of the younger wolves who seemed to respect Vergil's boundaries, never pressuring him to do anything. This confused Vergil as he knew Dante had many lovers, but he was happy to receive affection that didn't come with other intentions.
Fed up with the close friendship the two had Amor accused Dante of manipulating Vergil to try and ensure he wouldn't become leader. He told Dante he was no longer welcome in the pack, and if he was even scented in the territory after the day was up he would be hunted and killed. Dante didn't put up an argument, instead declaring he'd start his own pack.
When Dante went to leave Vergil chased after him, and when Amor tried to stop them Dante broke his leg. Despite wanting to make sure his father was okay he followed Dante, knowing his father wouldn't allow him to live after showing such disrespect.
The two became closer on their travels and when Dante asked Vergil to be his mate the wolf couldn't help but agree.
Dante and Vergil found their new home thanks to a mysterious wolf named Tala, and soon after Beatrice came along. Vergil quickly noticed how infatuated Dante became and one day confronted him. Learning that Dante had feelings for Beatrice he told Dante that as long as Beatrice was fine with it they could have a polyamorous relationship.
Later that day Beatrice came to Vergil, asking if he agreed to the relationship. Surprised she asked Vergil confirmed this, and was even more surprised when she asked if he was truly okay with it.
Vergil told her how he felt, and how he would prefer it just be him and Dante but he always knew Dante preferred multiple lovers. Beatrice thanked him for his honesty, and promised him that she'd make him love her too.
Vergil rolled his eyes at this declaration, but Beatrice, wanting Vergil and her to get along, was sure to spend time with him every chance she had. Despite his initial feelings Vergil found himself falling in love with her and soon he and Beatrice became mates as well.
When Beatrice became pregnant with Dante's pups Vergil was excited at the thought of being a father, and was the main one to help Beatrice with anything she needed.
