Voidbreak

Upon being born, Echo knew he was special. She called him her prince. It was further secured when he opened his starlit eyes. Which attracted the attention of the Starbound Queen Agethern. With eyes of the stars and a pelt of darkness, she has taken him as a student. But he seemed uninterested in the studies of moon, stars, and void. He was called by the only darkness of shadows. Specifically the shadow of a wolf he's never met.

    She spoke in a soft voice. Telling him secrets of the pack. None of the others seem to notice her. She felt familiar to him somehow but also something felt wrong. The only other wolf that seemed to notice was Vandelian and he would grow anxious whenever the pup approached them. Voidbreak just wants to play. He's a mere puppy. He doesn't want to do anyone harm. 

Yet everything is off with the pup and only others realize it. With his dark eyes he gives a almost haunted look and void black fur he's like a shadow. He doesn't realize that he attracts misfortune. Or that he was born to be the bane of the pack. He just wants to play and be a puppy. Voidbreak dreams of being a chaser like Nightshade whom both he and his brother looks up to. Although Primal went off to the Alaasikaq pack. Echo treasures them both. Raising him the best she can.

Growing up, Echo had more pups. One in particular being the new talk of the clan. The immortal two headed puppy that can see glimpses of the future. So they say. But Echo has stopped paying attention to him to care for this puppy. Saying he's old enough to take care of himself. He's been left alone. Nightshade doesn't pay him mind either as she has her own pups to worry about. None of the wolves like a big scary wolf with haunted eyes and shadowy fur. Most are afraid of him saying he's an evil spirit or bad omen. He just wanted to fit in.

The pack is getting hungry without Nightshade's skills. So it will be awhile before her kin are ready to bring down large prey. Perhaps if he helped out with Blueskies'es fishing, then they will finally accept him? So he went to the lake and tried to make a fake cover of shadows to lure fish in. It was working. Unfortunately Blueskies was scared of him. She backed away from the shadow cover and waited until he left. Seeing the wrongness of it all. Feeling the expectations of evil hurt him.

If they really believe he is a evil wolf, then so he will become one and play to their expectations. Shadows cling to his pelt and he has power of some kind. Something to do with the Voidcaller and the Darkened Soul. The Darkened Soul may be a filter but if he is out of the way then the Voidcaller will be corrupted and under the prince of shadows commands.

Voidbreak may have accepted that he's a villain. But he does not know how to handle the off chance he does get affection. He thought himself as a cold emotionless beast after all he's been through. But a pup still managed to win his heart. The pups name is Aetherius. Whatever happens in the end, Voidbreak will make sure no harm comes to this pup. Who would've thought that he finally finds a friend after becoming evil.

With the incoming of heroes, it seems that it's time to make a move. The Prince of shadows will now become the King of Shadows and form his own group. The Shadowkin. His followers will be those cast away for not being heroic enough, or being abandoned. None deserve the Fate he was given, so he will give the others a chance at family although they will be seen as evil and be outcasted.

A new pup joined the Shadowkin. Voidbreak hopes some adults will join soon. The pup is named Sylus and he has been forgotten by the future "heroes" he has trained beside. At least he trained, Voidbreak thought. But when he made this group, he vowed not to turn away the outcasts. He may be a villain but he is determined to be an honorable one. He won't forget his morals and his oath. The oath to protect all who stand beside him. When did he make that oath? It feels like a lifetime ago. Either way he won't break it. The pups are his warriors, the guardians of this king, his family. Nothing will take them away.

Finally the time has come. Two adults joined his Shadowkin. One is a bit too old for battle but the other was his age and would be a great help in his goals. She was ambitious and wanted to prove herself. Voidbreak was a bit wary, never working with someone older than him that accepted him. And Frossen was one that cast him away. But Voidbreak will take the higher ground and let them join him. Afterall they are in his domain now.

After so long of being an outcast, Voidbreak was shocked to find love. Perhaps everything will be okay afterall. He has a puppy, their name is Creo. Voidbreak plans to keep Creo out of danger, he's afraid that because of his parentage, the "heroic" members of Silverfell will take it out on the weak puppy. Fortunately, he has the support of his Shadowkin as well as Silverfell struggling to feed themselves. Voidbreak only has a small pack, but he still spends a majority of his day hunting. His dark black fur makes it hard to blend in. But he won't give up. He has a pack to defend.

Voidbreak's mother died of cold and it shattered him. She was the light in Silverfell that he so desperately needed. She was a great scout but in her age she couldn't keep moving to keep herself warm. He fears for future puppies and weaker wolves. How could any wolf live here like this? Using Silverfell as a example, Voidbreak will learn from their mistakes and take better care of his current family.

Sylus came up with a plan to take leadership over Silverfell and ensure that none are lost like Echo. There will be acceptance of the Shadowkin and a better United pack under Voidbreak's leadership. Despite the small numbers of Shadowkin, there's only a select few with the power to rival him. Most probably don't even care. His shadows will keep them at Bay while Sylus and Voidbreak overpower Vandelian.

The battle was quick and Agethern just let him take leadership. She was too old to fight anyways. Voidbreak spared all defeated wolves. Not like many were in camp at the time. Agethern passed the following night, making the moon rise upon his leadership. Wolves were wary of him but he will prove to them that he is a worthy leader. They just need to give him a chance.

Agethern's passing got him thinking. She was the one who convinced everyone he was evil. Her and her prophecies about the void consuming all. Voidbreak doesn't believe in Fate or prophecy. Not anymore after all it's trouble. He can't help but be a bit angry at Agethern but in the end, he is now leader. The first leader of Silverfell without the blood of Ashcore.

One of the shadow spirits has been following him. He recognizes this wolf as Bayos. He wants to come back but can't. He needs a physical form. Voidbreak can't get him one. But he can use a shadowy follower.

Weaker and weaker became the Darkened Soul. He fought the void hard even if his physical prowess lacked. But eventually he was claimed like all else.
