Sapphire

The offspring of a goddess and a mortal, this demi-god Alpha has had a difficult life. Raised not knowing her true origins, she believed she was a normal as her "littermates" were. That changed however once she found herself cornered during a midnight patrol around her old pack border by a group of rogues. All she knew was that one minute she was surrounded and the next her assailants were fleeing with their tails between their legs and she was surrounded by dark blue wisps.

Intrigued yet also terrified at the sight, she raced back to the den of her parents to ask them if they knew anything about what was happening. Her father, looking guilty, stepped forward to explain the truth. She was not like her siblings, she was not fully mortal and had great power because of it. Her "mother" took her in with her own despite the anger she felt from knowing her mate had a child with another originally because she could not bare to see a new life die out so quickly. As time went on, she began to look past her mate's mistakes and loved Sapphire as if she were her own blood. Sapphire's father than began to explain that her real mother was an ancient Goddess from long ago, who is mostly forgotten to time and resided over the demain of the afterlife. Once upon a time, the two courted in secret and a love began to bloom between them. It wasn't until her mother reveal who she was that the rift between them began. The last time they ever saw each other was when she handed Sapphire to her father, asking him to take good care of her before disappearing into mist.

Overwhelmed by the knowledge that she had been lied to her whole life, Sapphire quickly ran out of the den to sit under her favorite oak tree and process everything. She wasn't mortal like her "siblings" but she wasn't fully immortal either, and if it wasn't for her "mother" taking pity on her when she was a newborn, she probably wouldn't have survived to adulthood. Her real mother was some old deity that no one seems to remember or really care for and she's never going to get to know her because she hasn't been seen since her birth and she has no idea how she'd ever even contact her. All these thoughts running through her mind began making her feel dizzy so she tried to distract herself as ahe tried to calm down.
