Moon was the lazy son of an Alpha and a Beta in an extremely hardworking and diligent pack. He was coddled as a pup because of his beautiful fur and natural charm, and the spoiled favourite out of him and his sister Star.
When his father, the Beta, fell sick, his mother announced his retirement and promoted Moon in his place, privately confessing to her son that she soon planned to step down herself and encouraging him to find a mate to be Beta. Being handsome, Moon was able to find many eager suitors and planned to choose the most hardworking, who could run the pack whilst he rested. His sister, Star, neglected by their parents and who felt she was more deserving of being Beta, found out her brother planned on promoting his future mate rather than her and was upset - even more so when she realised he did not intend to be a true Alpha. Enraged, Star led an ambush against him, planning on killing him and forcing her mother to retire. She succeeded in making her mother retire, but didn't manage to kill Moon - instead making him run for the first time in his lazy life.
Moon was quick to join Jet's pack once he stumbled upon Crystal Cove, using Dusk's crush on him to his advantage as she would cover hunting missions for him. However, when Jet found out, she punished Moon by making him become a specialised role - a Scout. Moon was devastated as this took a lot of time, energy and effort. He began to resent packs and living in the wild for all the trouble it caused him.
But when Mei joined the pack, and he saw how deserving she was of being an Alpha, Moon was motivated to put more effort into being a Scout. Suddenly he saw how much she cared for being appreciated and understood why Star had hated him so deeply. Moon changed and bettered himself, and though he could've been kinder in the way he broke up with (pregnant) Dusk, there was no doubt in any wolf that he truly loved Mei. Dusk put aside their history so they could be true packmates and Mei agreed to become Moon's mate.
Someday, Moon hopes to find his sister Star and apologise for how he must have hurt her.
