Gifted to the Druids by a pack from distant lands, he is praised for his red coat.
While his fellow apprentices tussled and stayed glued to the eldest hunting party, Baron sought the company of Saffaira. Her knowledge of herbal remedies intrigued him so and he couldn't get enough of foraging trips.
When the Plague came, Baron was still young yet proficient enough in healing to be helpful to Saffaira. His mentor hardly rested so he did the same. In the end, they could only make their patients as comfortable as possible until Garmr claimed them. The last two infected were in fact, Saffaira and Scattered Shards. She gave birth to the pair's pups, using up the very last of her strength. They both passed on the same night, their pups crying out in the darkness. Baron took them to Azura, a mother of one pup that had recently found the Tellurian. She agreed to take care of them as they grew. Exhausted, deeply saddened, and relieved all at the same time, Baron couldn't even make it out of the nursery. Collapsing on the ground and sleeping his grief away, he slept a little sounder in Azura's company.
