HISTORY
Aiko means 'beloved son' in Chinese but can also mean 'beloved child'. The dark-coated female was born to a small family pack, one that was always moving. During her travels, they stopped in the Grasslands, where Vikram was soon to be founded.
Aiko met Melitta on a warm summer afternoon. The cicadas were a dull murmur in the background as they began to grow restless, waiting for the night to encase the land while the sun still hung lazily on the horizon. Aiko had gone out for some water, trying to find a stream for her packmates to drink from that was at least until she noticed Melitta.
Melitta had been near the water's edge, pink tongue lapping at the once still surface of the beautiful pond. Their magnolia pelt radiated both power and confidence and she seemed to exude friendliness. Aiko was scared, cowering in the bushes like a puppy. That was until the golden wolf spoke, their head not even turning. "I know you're there," The voice was said in a sing-song manner, yet somehow soft and graceful.
Aiko stepped out of her hiding place, head held high despite just being scared of the golden maiden. "Hello ma'am," Her own voice was harsh yet deep, one that would usually not belong to a female. The two sat by that pond and talked for hours, that was eventually until they both fell asleep side by side. That morning Aiko woke first to the sound of growling and the snapping of jaws, but a yelp drove her fever dream into reality. The maiden bolted up, groggy and helpless. She could make out two shapes, one much larger black figure holding down the golden wolf along with others.. many others.
"AIKO," The voice was loud and jarred her awake, the once foggy eyesight suddenly unclouding to reveal the new scene before her. She stood there, horrified as her packmates now held her new friend to the ground. The blood rolling down their face made Aiko's heart only pound faster, this was her fault.
"Get off of her Koss," Aiko only said the words once, and when the brown female did not listen... She allowed all hell to break loose. Aiko managed to tug Melitta free from their grasp, putting up a fight against her once higher-ranked friends.
Before they could run off Mel had already collapsed, nearly unable to run. Aiko stood over Mel, teeth barred and tail held high with her hackles raise. "Step down Squire, you do not belong here," Kasshoku, leader of Aiko's pack, spoke but Aiko did not step away from Melitta. Aiko had been supposed to 'marry' Kasshoku but Koss acted the same as Aiko, too stubborn for their own good. They butted heads a lot, way too much, leading to an unhealthy and toxic relationship. One that was about to end.
"Watch where your slimy tongue slips, Kosskohu," Aiko let out a sigh before continuing, "I'm sick of arguing with you and no longer want to be apart of your petty parade." There was a pause and silence reigned over everyone. "I don't want anything to do with this pack anymore, so leave her be!"
Needless to say, Aiko left her traveling pack for good and tended to Melitta's wounds at the same pond they had met. The two from there formed a special bond and later formed Sora no mure when they had better established the territory. Aiko is now a skilled hunter and Melitta's Companion/mate, they now have one daughter; Miruku.
