Canonically a male, I just wanted puppies

When Kazuha was just a pup, his pack fell apart and he, just like others, was left to wander and find another pack or live alone. As a loner from young age, he preferred wandering, careful not to alert any packs by stepping into their territory and using his heightened senses to get out of the way of any loner wolves before they even knew he was near. It saved him many times when he was a pup, and soon he learned how to hunt, by observing other animals he learned about plants and their uses. He liked his lonesome life and rarely interacted with other wolves, that is until he found Gorou.
Kazuha was wandering in the vast prairies when he saw big pile of golden fur, almost perfectly camouflaged in dry grass. He would've walk large circle just to be away from other wolf, but he could hear ragged breathing, and wind carried heavy smell of sickness from far away. He came closer, but golden wolf didn't even stir. Carefully, just in case he would wake up, Kazuha touched others nose with his, noting it was dry and hot, and just as he was backing away a fit of coughs shaken the other wolf. He probably had influenza, dangerous sickness that was, unfortunately, very contagious. Kazuha knew cure, but it needed herbs not found in prairie. He had to travel to make cure for other wolf that would otherwise die and for himself, just in case, but he had to drag other to place that is at least relatively safe and not just open plains first. He went out to scout and found old burrow near river that would be perfect and came back to sick wolf. He was bigger than Kazuha, not much but enough to make problem with moving him, but had to if he wanted to help him. He grabbed him by skin and fur on his neck and started dragging him to the burrow, and after some rest went to rainforest to find herbs.
